So I was listening to the Herd on 710 ESPN and they were talking about a recent survey that confirms cohabitating with your partner causes weight gain... I was seriously trying to figure out what the hell was causing me to get soooo fluffy!!! Apparently, that regular is making me thick in all the wrong places. Penny Gordon-Larsen of the University of North Carolina says there are positive health benefits to living together but remaining slim apparently isn't one of them. Now, I'll admit that I don't work out as much as I use to... or maybe not even at all, unless you count sex, but I didn't think I was doing anything out of the ordinary. Well.... maybe eating brownies in the wee hours of the night or midnight munchy runs have been added to my daily routine since getting boo'd up, but damn.... I have gained around 11 pounds after moving in with my boyfriend. So here is the question... Do I stay or do I go... to the gym that is?

Maybe I should move out...

NBA Draft and what not...
Sooooooo was it just me or did the 2009 NBA draft suck ass this year?!? I'm ecstatic that the Clippers got Blake Griffin, but let's be real... the Clippers need more than a first round pick to pull it together and make it to the playoffs. I'm just sayin'. To be honest, I was more intrigued by all the damn trades that happened. I mean the freakin' Phoenix Suns are all but dismembered, with Shaq heading to Cleavland, and Amare Stoudemire on his way to Golden State, not to mention rumors about Leandro Barboso on his way to Houston, who will Steve Nash have left to pass to? Grant Hill is cool and all, but he ain't the same. Oh how I miss the Grant from the Pistons *tear*, not that I care about the Suns, I'm a LA girl to the fullest. Los Angeles Lakers 2009 Champs! (Sorry had to throw it in there) But what I am hoping for, is a much more competitive Western Conference, I remember when the Suns were a force to be reckoned with, now they're just eehh... Another big trade that caught my eye was Orlando picking up Vince Carter!!! WTH?!?! How are Nets fan taking this fuckery? 1st J. Kidd and now Vinsanity... geesh its about to be a rough couple of seasons in Jersey... at least the Housewives are entertaining. Any way, I'm excited about the 2009-2010 NBA season, even if the Rookie class ain't shit... I hope they prove me wrong.
Tributes, tributes, and tributes...
With the passing of Michael Jackson tons of artist have gotten together to put out a record in honor of his greatness... It just sucks that people never think to do this when the person is still alive. IMO MJ couldn't handle NOT being loved by everyone in the world.... if he only knew how much he meant to people still, Mike might have been able to deal with all.

I'm getting too old for this...
I woke up with a killer headache!!!!!!! Me and the crew had a mini shin-dig last night to celebrate the Life of Michael Jackson. We went through a whole bottle of Erk and Jerk…. Hey, we’re in a recession and that was the cheapest bottle… I’m sure all my drinkers already know… so don’t judge me! Any who, I was doing alright until “Butterflies” came on in the MJ rotation. It had to be a combination of the drink and the green, because the tears formed. IDK man………. Here’s the song. I can listen to it now that I’m sober!!!! :-)

Good Night Sweet Prince…
Yesterday the end of my childhood was officially cemented with the death of Michael Jackson. Say what you want about his eccentric personality, and “off the wall” taste for kiddies… the man was a musical genius, a pop icon, a fashion trendsetter, hell he invented the Moonwalk! Everyone has faults and skeletons in their closets, his just happened to make the headlines. That type of pressure of having all eyes on you, at all times, is something that most of us will never understand. Michael Jackson was the common denominator for even the most polar opposite of people, his music just seemed to bring people together, no matter the age, gender, or race. His legacy will forever live on and his genius will truly be missed.

It's been a long time...
So I started this thing months ago and got swamped with school work, making it really difficult for me to keep up with everything. Unfortunately the blog was the first thing that got cut from my list of things to do.... but now I'm back from outer space to put a smile up on your face! There wont be daily post, maybe not even weekly, but I promise no more disappearing for months on end. Thanks for stopping by lovies! ♥ Keeks
